The audience was convinced that Malek Rwina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Idriss Lamyaghri was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Idriss Lamyaghri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malek Rwina in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malek Rwina in the 24th minute of play forced Dartmouth's goalkeeper Idriss Lamyaghri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dartmouth were furious when Younes Jaafari was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 26th minute, one of Dartmouth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dartmouth. The goalkeeper, Idriss Lamyaghri, was totally fooled by Guelmim's Haitham Abdellaoui, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Gaya El Ghrib came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Guelmim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaya El Ghrib couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Malek Rwina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Idriss Lamyaghri, 2-0. Idriss Lamyaghri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malek Rwina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cicungh Alloudi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nabil El Yaagoubi having to interfere. Gaya El Ghrib took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Idriss Lamyaghri. Idriss Lamyaghri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Malek Rwina hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cicungh Alloudi was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gaya El Ghrib managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guelmim's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaya El Ghrib was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Idriss Lamyaghri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Malek Rwina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaya El Ghrib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idriss Lamyaghri having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Gaya El Ghrib ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Idriss Lamyaghri was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Gaya El Ghrib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chokri Rwina's late challenge caught a Guelmim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chokri Rwina helped the player get up and apologised. Gaya El Ghrib struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Gaya El Ghrib managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guelmim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaya El Ghrib was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dartmouth's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
