The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Berkane defense, Cicungh El Khattabi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yousri Bezzai. The Berkane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yousri Bezzai should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Berkane's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cicungh El Khattabi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Berkane's Yousri Bezzai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nouh Doulyazal in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Badis Abarou during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 minutes, Safi Armoumen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asilah and the Berkane players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Berkane booed when Asilah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Safi Armoumen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Massin Regragui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mazine El Idrissi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tijani Rwina came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Berkane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tijani Rwina couldn't finish the play. Mazine El Idrissi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tijani Rwina in the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tijani Rwina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berkane's supporters rose to their feet, but Tijani Rwina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazine El Idrissi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yousri Bezzai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nouh Doulyazal in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Berkane's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cicungh El Khattabi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Berkane getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Badis Abarou hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Massin Regragui made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Asilah's Aylal Ziati got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Asilah's goalkeeper Mazine El Idrissi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tijani Rwina. 57 minutes into the match, Asilah's goal looked a bit too open when Massin Regragui came free, but Mazine El Idrissi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Massin Regragui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mazine El Idrissi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tijani Rwina got free with Mazine El Idrissi in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Asilah booed when Berkane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ziad Fouhami didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes, Asilah's Rouchd Jilaidi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yousri Bezzai came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Asilah reached it. Aylal Ziati kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Berkane booed when Asilah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loutfi Sarraj didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Asilah's zone, Massin Regragui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazine El Idrissi came out of the goal and Massin Regragui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes in the game, Massin Regragui fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mazine El Idrissi having to interfere. Cicungh El Khattabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Berkane's goal looked a bit too open when Nouh Doulyazal came free, but Yousri Bezzai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match Ziad Fouhami shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mazine El Idrissi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Asilah's zone, Tijani Rwina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazine El Idrissi came out of the goal and Tijani Rwina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
