Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Fès's Taha El Hadrioui started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yugerten Oulmers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziyad El Khattabi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yugerten Oulmers got free with Ziyad El Khattabi in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taha El Hadrioui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Yuba El Baz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Azrou's zone, Jamil El Bahri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuba El Baz came out of the goal and Jamil El Bahri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nasseh Zaki during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Azrou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nasseh Zaki to maneuver through the defense. Taha El Hadrioui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuba El Baz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. If Malek Kissi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuba El Baz came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Fès's Taha El Hadrioui. But to his dismay, Taha El Hadrioui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Yuba El Baz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamil El Bahri in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match, Malek Kissi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ziyad El Khattabi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ziyad El Khattabi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Chakib Boutarbouch. The Azrou players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fès were winning 0-1.
In the 53rd minute, Yugerten Oulmers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Malek Kissi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ziyad El Khattabi was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Taha El Hadrioui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Yuba El Baz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 67 minutes, Izri Malki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azrou and the Fès players grew even worse after the yellow card. Izri Malki kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Azrou's goal looked a bit too open when Taha El Hadrioui came free, but Yuba El Baz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fès booed when Azrou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ridouane Ezzine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fès's Jamil El Bahri got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ziyad El Khattabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malek Kissi in the 76th minute of play. Yugerten Oulmers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Taher Bistara fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azrou's protests and gave Taher Bistara a yellow card for diving instead. Taher Bistara hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Yuba El Baz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aderbal Boukhari, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fès! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Azrou. Izemrasen Farass stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ziyad El Khattabi. 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
