An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Kacemi in the 3rd minute of play forced Figuig's goalkeeper Rahim Tafersit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tamir El Ghrib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wassim Bouden, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yazid Lamyaghri in the 5th minute of play forced Khenifra's goalkeeper Tamir El Ghrib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Figuig's zone, Mohammad Kacemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rahim Tafersit came out of the goal and Mohammad Kacemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohammad Kacemi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rahim Tafersit came out and tried to block the shot, but Mohammad Kacemi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Mennad El Hadrioui got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Figuig's Yazid Lamyaghri got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wassim Bouden in the 27th minute of play forced Khenifra's goalkeeper Tamir El Ghrib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Figuig getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Izri El Azhari hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Youmni El Khalej hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, Youmni El Khalej was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Khenifra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figuig the free kick. Youmni El Khalej hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Khenifra's Tamir El Ghrib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wassim Bouden in the 42nd minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohammad Kacemi was the one to do the kick off. Yazid Lamyaghri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tamir El Ghrib tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Wassim Bouden took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tamir El Ghrib to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mahdi Faris during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute, Mahdi Faris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Figuig's zone, Mennad El Hadrioui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wassim Bouden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamir El Ghrib having to interfere. Mennad El Hadrioui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rahim Tafersit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. When Mohammad Kacemi came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Khenifra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammad Kacemi couldn't finish the play. Mahdi Faris hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Mennad El Hadrioui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mennad El Hadrioui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rahim Tafersit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Wassim Bouden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91stth minute of the game Mohammad Kacemi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Figuig's Rahim Tafersit was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Figuig eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
