Rahim Ait Yahya who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Usus Kissi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Azrou's Sisangh Zeryouh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nasri Hamidouch in the 20th minute of play. Usus Kissi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahim Ait Yahya in the 26th minute of the match. Awrib Ait Omar's late challenge caught a Beni Mellal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Awrib Ait Omar helped the player get up and apologised. If Maysar El Ghrib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nasri Hamidouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sisangh Zeryouh having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maysar El Ghrib in the 43rd minute of play forced Azrou's goalkeeper Sisangh Zeryouh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sisangh Zeryouh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nasri Hamidouch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Rahim Ait Yahya dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Usus Kissi, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rahim Ait Yahya to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nasri Hamidouch in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sisangh Zeryouh saved Azrou from getting behind. Maysar El Ghrib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Younes El Khayati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Usus Kissi having to interfere. The Azrou fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Azrou were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
