The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afalkay Ziyati kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Khenifra AS's goal looked a bit too open when Talal Diane came free, but Atrar Benzoukan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 played minutes Khenifra AS got a freekick which was hit by Salah Bouhaja. When Khouribga's Talal Diane in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Khenifra AS's goalie prevented a goal. Salah Bouhaja hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Afer Diba hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Taha El Khalej received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Atrar Benzoukan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Talal Diane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Khenifra AS booed when Khouribga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asulil El Hadrioui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Usus El Amrani was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nasri Alloudi. When Khenifra AS's Awzal Ali in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Khouribga's goalie prevented a goal. Awzal Ali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Aziz Mokhtari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Khouribga and the Khenifra AS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Khouribga getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aziz Mokhtari hit a great ball. Usus El Amrani was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nasri Alloudi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taha El Khalej in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atrar Benzoukan saved Khenifra AS from getting behind. A collision led to Khouribga getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Asulil El Hadrioui hit a great ball. In the 40th minute of the match Nasri Alloudi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Usus El Amrani skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Awzal Ali in the 42nd minute of play forced Khouribga's goalkeeper Usus El Amrani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Asulil El Hadrioui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Awzal Ali was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Khouribga's goal looked a bit too open when Awzal Ali came free, but Usus El Amrani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Awzal Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Usus El Amrani having to interfere. Agwmar Boughanem's late challenge caught a Khouribga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agwmar Boughanem helped the player get up and apologised. 57 minutes into the match, Khenifra AS's goal looked a bit too open when Taha El Khalej came free, but Atrar Benzoukan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Taha El Khalej had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Khenifra AS's goalkeeper Atrar Benzoukan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Usus El Amrani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salah Bouhaja, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Khouribga's Usus El Amrani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salah Bouhaja in the 78th minute of play. After 81 minutes of play, Khenifra AS's Azizi Bosaroukh made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Usus El Amrani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afer Diba hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Talal Diane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Atrar Benzoukan made a huge save. A collision led to Khenifra AS getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Agwmar Boughanem hit a great ball. Atrar Benzoukan made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Talal Diane sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Taha El Khalej fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Atrar Benzoukan managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Khouribga's Talal Diane fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Khouribga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
