The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emad Kadmiri in the 4th minute of play forced Meknès's goalkeeper Soubhi Rifi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Monir Agazou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Meknès's zone, Emad Kadmiri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Soubhi Rifi came out of the goal and Emad Kadmiri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 minutes of play, Meknès's Ouassim Armoumen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Taher Ait Omar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 22 minutes, Monir Agazou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Larache Chabab's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monir Agazou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ouassim Armoumen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taher Ait Omar having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Emad Kadmiri in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Moutawakkil Rifi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Monir Agazou struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Soubhi Rifi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Larache Chabab. Marwan Iajour's late challenge caught a Meknès's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marwan Iajour helped the player get up and apologised. If Ouassim Armoumen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taher Ait Omar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malek Lahoua in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ouassim Armoumen to make the kick off. Loutfi Oulhaj charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loutfi Oulhaj the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Monir Agazou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Soubhi Rifi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Emad Kadmiri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Monir Agazou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monir Kasi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Taher Ait Omar made a huge save. If Azhar Akaaboune had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monir Kasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taher Ait Omar having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Meknès got a freekick which was hit by Ouassim Armoumen. Larache Chabab's Taher Ait Omar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ouassim Armoumen in the 87th minute of play. Emad Kadmiri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emad Kadmiri struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Soubhi Rifi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Larache Chabab. The Meknès supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Meknès would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
