Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Salé's Nouman Ataba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Salaheddine Bakkal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jawad Aissati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salaheddine Bakkal in the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Salaheddine Bakkal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jawad Aissati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes, Aslal Hamouch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salé and the Khenifra players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Aslal Hamouch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agerzam El Idrissi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salem Kantari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nouman Ataba struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jawad Aissati didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salé. Nouman Ataba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agerzam El Idrissi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Salem Kantari showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. After 36 played minutes Khenifra got a freekick which was hit by Moutawakkil Khlifi. Salé's Salaheddine Bakkal got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nouman Ataba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jawad Aissati having to interfere. Moutawakkil Khlifi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Agerzam El Idrissi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khenifra. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salem Kantari was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Salem Kantari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agerzam El Idrissi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Amanar Zaki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jawad Aissati. Amanar Zaki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Jalal Benkhirane charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jalal Benkhirane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Salé got a freekick which was hit by Aslal Hamouch. After a defensive mix-up in Salé's zone, Moutawakkil Khlifi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agerzam El Idrissi came out of the goal and Moutawakkil Khlifi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tamir Settati fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salé's protests and gave Tamir Settati a yellow card for diving instead. Salem Kantari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agerzam El Idrissi having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Salem Kantari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khenifra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salem Kantari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moutawakkil Khlifi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Agerzam El Idrissi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Salé supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Salé would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
