If Abdelkhaliq Merzouk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Marrakech booed when Berkane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boutahar Hamidouch didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berkane's goalkeeper Bukkus Chkilit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Safi Oulhaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bukkus Chkilit having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Itri Zaza in the 19th minute of play forced Marrakech's goalkeeper Awrib Lohkmiri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Berkane's goal looked a bit too open when Afer El Kaddouri came free, but Bukkus Chkilit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Safi Oulhaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Marrakech got a freekick which was hit by Amalu Boukemouch. Bukkus Chkilit made an important save on a dangerous shot by Safi Oulhaj in the 29th minute. Abdelkhaliq Merzouk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Safi Oulhaj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samih El Moubarki kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Itri Zaza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Awsim Hamdani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Awrib Lohkmiri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelkhaliq Merzouk made a kick off. Awsim Hamdani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Awrib Lohkmiri having to interfere. Itri Zaza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Awrib Lohkmiri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelkhaliq Merzouk might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bukkus Chkilit. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdelkhaliq Merzouk ran back to his position shaking his head. After 62 played minutes Berkane got a freekick which was hit by Raja El Akchaoui. After 64 played minutes, Marrakech's Amalu Boukemouch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bukkus Chkilit came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marrakech reached it. 1-0 became the score in the 68th minute when Abdelkhaliq Merzouk elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 71st minute Abdelkhaliq Merzouk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bukkus Chkilit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Ismael Safri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bukkus Chkilit skillfully saved the ball. In the 76th match minute, Berkane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mokhtar Kolna Mgharba to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Awsim Hamdani in the 80th minute of play forced Marrakech's goalkeeper Awrib Lohkmiri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bukkus Chkilit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Safi Oulhaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Mokhtar Kolna Mgharba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Awrib Lohkmiri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Marrakech's Awrib Lohkmiri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Awsim Hamdani in the 97th minute of play.
