The supporters of Douglas Football Club booed when hpcsongi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dion Ferguson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st match minute, hpcsongi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Hoult to maneuver through the defense. Neil Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Forrest Evans having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Neil Edwards was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Lucas Laurie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Mason. hpcsongi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Laurie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Derek Brownlee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Forrest Evans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Edwards in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, one of hpcsongi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Douglas Football Club. Peter George stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Peter Mason. 0-2. Peter Mason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Little, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scott Little was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Scott Little fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Mason having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match Tommy Fish sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Forrest Evans skillfully saved the ball. Dion Ferguson took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Forrest Evans. Forrest Evans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Neil Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
