Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Flamengo's Ashley Doherty started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Doherty in the 4th minute of play forced hpcsongi's goalkeeper Peter Mason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ashley Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Mason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Doherty in the 8th minute of play. Steven Campbell came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by hpcsongi's Neil Edwards. But to his dismay, Neil Edwards quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Flamengo's Steven Campbell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Edwards in the 18th minute of play. Flamengo's Ashley Doherty got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 minutes of play, hpcsongi's Derek Brownlee made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven Campbell was left in no man's land by his defense there! The corner ended in Dion Ferguson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flamengo's Steven Campbell did a great save. When Derek Brownlee came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the hpcsongi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derek Brownlee couldn't finish the play. After 43 minutes, Martin Hoult mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the hpcsongi and the Flamengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Hoult kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Peter Mason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Doherty in the 54th minute of play. Rich Lockwood hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Derek Brownlee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Wayne Roberts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Jamie Gray fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo's protests and gave Jamie Gray a yellow card for diving instead. Flamengo's Steven Campbell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo from getting a goal against them. Peter Mason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Doherty in the 76th minute of the match. If Wayne Roberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Ashley Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Mason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Mason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Roberts in the 82nd minute of play. Wayne Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Mason having to interfere. The supporters of hpcsongi booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony English didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Rich Lockwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Flamengo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching hpcsongi's performance. The match ended with a win for hpcsongi.
