Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Darren Warrender got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Accrington's zone, Derek Coyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ Gettins came out of the goal and Derek Coyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Butterfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Russ Gettins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derek Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Accrington getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Carl Bradfield hit a great ball. Russ Gettins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derek Coyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match Dave Dawson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Bowler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Bronagh Robertson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute of the match, Darren Warrender tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leon Bowler saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 30 minutes into the match, Accrington's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Butterfield came free, but Russ Gettins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darren Warrender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Chesham FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Van Hampton hit a great ball. Bronagh Robertson 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Bowler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute Derek Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Gettins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Carl Bradfield mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Accrington and the Chesham FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Bronagh Robertson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Derek Coyle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60 minutes of play Accrington's Carl Bradfield was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 61 played minutes Accrington got a freekick which was hit by Carl Bradfield . 65 minutes into the match, Accrington's goalkeeper Russ Gettins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Butterfield . Darren Warrender hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Carl Butterfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chesham FC's goalkeeper Leon Bowler , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carl Butterfield struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Russ Gettins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chesham FC. Russ Gettins was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Derek Coyle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Derek Coyle really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Leon Bowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bronagh Robertson in the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Chesham FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Accrington.
