Dean Hay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bradley Blewitt went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. William McAuley hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Dean Hay made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Biagio Censi sent off a good shot on target. If Ashley Alsop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremy Daly scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dean Hay , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bradley Blewitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean Hay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bradley Blewitt in the 36th minute. Dean Hay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Corrigan in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Danny Deaconsfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rhys Digby was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goal looked a bit too open when Ashley Alsop came free, but Rhys Digby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Biagio Censi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Biagio Censi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dean Hay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley Blewitt in the 53rd minute of play. Norman White lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 54 minutes into the game, one of Runcorn:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ashley Alsop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Digby having to interfere. Ashley Alsop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Corrigan hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Blewitt in the 70th minute of play forced Runcorn's goalkeeper Dean Hay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Hay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Censi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goalkeeper Rhys Digby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ashley Alsop . Blackheath's Rhys Digby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Blackheath from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Biagio Censi in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean Hay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Brian Corrigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Runcorn's goal looked a bit too open when Biagio Censi came free, but Dean Hay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dean Hay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Blewitt in the 87th minute of the match. Rhys Digby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ashley Alsop in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Blackheath's Rhys Digby got control of the ball when Ashley Alsop tried to sneak it across the goal line. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blackheath's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adam Winship was slow to take the kick. During this time Runcorn's players had a chance to rest. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blackheath fully deserved thier win.
