Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bill Saunders started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Pedro Blakely received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Willie Malley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Ozzy McCormick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Keith Griffiths came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Nailsea AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keith Griffiths couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Wibtoft City's Vincent Bullard got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ian Holyfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kenneth Chegwyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wibtoft City's Ian Holyfield got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Wibtoft City got a freekick which was hit by Teddy Ingram . 29 minutes into the match, Nailsea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Saunders came free, but Kenneth Chegwyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Chegwyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Holyfield , who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ian Holyfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Chegwyn having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keith Griffiths stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Willie Malley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keith Griffiths went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Keith Griffiths had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Burrows 's late challenge caught a Nailsea AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Burrows helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bill Saunders in the 71st minute of play forced Nailsea AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Chegwyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Wibtoft City getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Barney Burnett hit a great ball. Wibtoft City's Willie Malley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Griffiths in the 76th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Pedro Blakely put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Willie Malley. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Pedro Blakely managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nailsea AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Blakely was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willie Malley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wibtoft City's Willie Malley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Blakely in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith Griffiths in the 87th minute of play forced Wibtoft City's goalkeeper Willie Malley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
