Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 8th minute, Albert Medley made a precise shot to the right of Keith Downham. Leek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 14 played minutes Swanley got a freekick which was hit by Jane Milner . Leek FC's Keith Downham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Walker in the 18th minute of play. When Shane Gallacher fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leek FC's protests and gave Shane Gallacher a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Swanley booed when Leek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Gallacher didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Ray Denham reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francis Colbert . The goal made the score 1-1. Swanley's Jane Milner suffered a concussion in the 26th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Vince Sutcliffe's late challenge caught a Swanley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vince Sutcliffe helped the player get up and apologised. Charlie Walker struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Keith Downham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swanley. Thanks to some nice moves Ray Denham could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Francis Colbert however easily saved by the left post. Francis Colbert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Venables in the 42nd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Francis Colbert came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Leek FC's Jon Venables. But to his dismay, Jon Venables quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerome Butler Yeats during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jerome Butler Yeats kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match Shane Gallacher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francis Colbert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ray Denham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Colbert having to interfere. 64 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Leek FC's Jon Venables fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 72nd minute of the match Derek Bayne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francis Colbert skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Swanley defense, Jon Venables kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Colbert . The Swanley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Colbert should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ray Denham in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francis Colbert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute, Jon Venables hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Swanley getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Dave Orchard hit a great ball. Jon Venables's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francis Colbert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Leek FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Swanley for a fine match.
