Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Seth Hoskins got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Harry Pugh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Graeme Healy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lee Frost was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lee Frost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Pugh in the 12th minute of play. Dalton In Furness's Rufus Whittaker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Dalton In Furness from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Levenshulme's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Pugh came free, but Lee Frost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Seth Hoskins put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rufus Whittaker. Philip Baum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronnie Askew kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Levenshulme's Lee Frost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Pugh in the 29th minute of play. Harry Pugh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lee Frost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Graeme Healy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Frost having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Harry Pugh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Levenshulme's Lee Frost was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute, Derek Nightingale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the match Dalton In Furness got a corner. Levenshulme's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andy Allen ran over to the corner to take the kick.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harry Pugh made a kick off. Harry Pugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Lee Frost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andy Allen charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andy Allen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the game, one of Dalton In Furness:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 72nd minute Harry Pugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Frost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Pugh in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Frost saved Levenshulme from getting behind. Graeme Healy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Frost having to interfere. Derek Nightingale hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Dalton In Furness's Lee Frost threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harry Pugh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Levenshulme's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andy Allen was slow to take the kick. During this time Dalton In Furness's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Pugh in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Frost saved Levenshulme from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Harry Pugh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalton In Furness's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Pugh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lee Frost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th match minute, Dalton In Furness was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Basham to maneuver through the defense. When Philip Baum came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Levenshulme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Baum couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
