Neil Langdon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Dominic Yorke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When The Northern Ireland Babe's Franz Fuller in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colo-Colo's goalie prevented a goal. The Northern Ireland Babe's Dominic Yorke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vic Theobald in the 22nd minute of play. Colo-Colo's Ron Martin has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 24th minute. Gaz Shipton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vic Theobald came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Colo-Colo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vic Theobald couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Walter Downing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dominic Yorke was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Franz Fuller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurice Stockley having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vic Theobald made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vic Theobald in the 52nd minute of play forced The Northern Ireland Babe's goalkeeper Dominic Yorke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Colo-Colo's Maurice Stockley got control of the ball when Kristopher MacDonnell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th match minute, The Northern Ireland Babe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher MacDonnell to maneuver through the defense. Franz Fuller kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Crispin Corby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Collins was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, The Northern Ireland Babe's Rich Saville got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Vic Theobald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Northern Ireland Babe's Dominic Yorke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vic Theobald in the 79th minute of play. Kristopher MacDonnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josh Fawcett hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
