James Moyse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larry Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Isaac William Russell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kev Meade , who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The supporters of Biggleswade booed when BUBASAUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Houghton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kev Dearden hit a great ball. When Larry Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the BUBASAUR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larry Hughes couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vincent Houghton was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to BUBASAUR getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Tommy Browning hit a great ball. BUBASAUR's Isaac William Russell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kev Meade in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Vincent Houghton managed to get in a good position for a shot. BUBASAUR's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Houghton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Moyse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Larry Hughess short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got James Moyse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th minute, Jay Makem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Larry Hughes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. James Moyse was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Larry Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Houghton might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over James Moyse . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vincent Houghton ran back to his position shaking his head. James Moyse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Acheson in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Biggleswade's goalkeeper James Moyse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnnie Postolan. In the 83rd minute Vincent Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Moyse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duncan Ingram was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
