Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cashel Taylor kicked off to start the match. Fergal Benson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donleavy Lester. Donleavy Lester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Torna McWillie struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Donleavy Lester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumfad FC. Fergal Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torna McWillie in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donleavy Lester saved Killmacomma from getting behind. Donleavy Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fergal Benson in the 27th minute of play. If Fergal Benson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Cashel Taylor fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Breffni McNamara's late challenge caught a Killmacomma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breffni McNamara helped the player get up and apologised. Breffni McNamara hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Dane McGlenn kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Donleavy Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torna McWillie in the 39th minute of the match. If Fergal Benson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torna McWillie made a kick off. Boddibevve Gollogley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Killmacomma got a freekick which was hit by Boddibevve Taylor. After 61 played minutes Drumfad FC got a freekick which was hit by Belock Benson. 63 minutes into the match, Drumfad FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cashel Taylor came free, but Boddibevve Gollogley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Donleavy Lester successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 69 minutes, Fergal Benson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drumfad FC and the Killmacomma players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Emmet Beckett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killmacomma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Todd John got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Killmacomma's Todd John got a free kick in the 80th minute. Torna McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Donleavy Lester made a huge save. In the 86th minute of the match Baptist Crowe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donleavy Lester skillfully saved the ball. Torna McWillie kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Turlough McGlynn might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boddibevve Gollogley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Turlough McGlynn ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Killmacomma had played much better football throughout.
