Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Reamann McNamara got the match started through his kick off. Reamann McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caoilte Mullan having to interfere. Caoilte Mullan made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Berkeley Cronin sent off a good shot on target. Tyrone Lester hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Clon's zone, Briain Doyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boroimhe Hunt came out of the goal and Briain Doyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Briain Doyle in the 11th minute of play forced Clon's goalkeeper Boroimhe Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Gordan Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinakill AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gordan Martyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boroimhe Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Briain Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Clon got a freekick which was hit by Cianán McCollion. In the 24thth minute of the game Briain Doyle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clon's Boroimhe Hunt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reamann McNamara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caoilte Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Reamann McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Gordan Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boroimhe Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Briain Doyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Boroimhe Hunt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boyce Todd kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Briain Doyle to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Clon's zone, Briain Doyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boroimhe Hunt came out of the goal and Briain Doyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clon's Boroimhe Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Briain Doyle in the 53rd minute of play. In the 59th minute, Gordan Martyn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballinakill AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Royan Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berkeley Cronin in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caoilte Mullan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkeley Cronin in the 68th minute of play forced Ballinakill AFC's goalkeeper Caoilte Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sameer Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boroimhe Hunt came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballinakill AFC's Briain Doyle. But to his dismay, Briain Doyle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Gordan Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Boroimhe Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berkeley Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caoilte Mullan having to interfere. Briain Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boroimhe Hunt having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Sameer Hamilton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballinakill AFC and the Clon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Clon booed when Ballinakill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sameer Hamilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ballinakill AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ballinakill AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
