Farranavarra's Peter Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bressal Dillon in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Bran Martyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farranavarra and the Clon players grew even worse after the yellow card.
