Dermod Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Suibhne Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes, Skenahincha FC's Breck Mullan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brefni Doyle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skenahincha FC reached it. Ciarán Perth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Suibhne Branson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. If Berrin McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dermod Ghee to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Skenahincha FC's goalkeeper Suibhne Branson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciarán Perth. Torin Caffey's late challenge caught a Leap FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torin Caffey helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Skenahincha FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Torin Caffey hit a great ball. Ciarán Perth struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Suibhne Branson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leap FC. Patrick Morrison hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Edwin Matthews took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Suibhne Branson. Skenahincha FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ciarán Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dermod Ghee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Suibhne Branson having to interfere. Berrin McWillie took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brefni Doyle. Brefni Doyle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Leap FC's Dermod Ghee got a free kick in the 74th minute. Patrick Morrison struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Suibhne Branson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leap FC. Irwin McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Skenahincha FC's zone, Ciarán Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Suibhne Branson came out of the goal and Ciarán Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 minutes of play, Skenahincha FC's Ciarán Murphy made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brefni Doyle was left in no man's land by his defense there!
