Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dermod Ghee started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rathglass's goalkeeper Beollan McSteven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Lee McFrancise could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Brefni Doyle however easily saved by the left post. Brendanus Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Brefni Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beltany Mullan in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brefni Doyle saved Leap FC from getting behind. A collision led to Leap FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Brenn McStephen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rathglass's zone, Ciarán Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beollan McSteven came out of the goal and Ciarán Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brendanus Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Brefni Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rathglass getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lee McFrancise hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ciarán Perth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beollan McSteven was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, Beltany Mullan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brefni Doyle. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, Leap FC's Irving Brennan got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Rathglass's Brendanus Sheridan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brefni Doyle narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
After 51 played minutes Rathglass got a freekick which was hit by Donahue Dillon. Beollan McSteven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciarán Perth in the 52nd minute. When Irving Brennan fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leap FC's protests and gave Irving Brennan a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Leap FC got a freekick which was hit by Irving Brennan. If Beltany Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Leap FC's Edwin Matthews seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edwin Matthews the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Leap FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edwin Matthews had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Rathglass a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Birr Tierney, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Leap FC's Brefni Doyle. 2-0. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Ciarán Perth got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 67th minute, Beltany Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciarán Perth in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beollan McSteven, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Beltany Mullan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rathglass fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beltany Mullan couldn't finish the play. Rathglass's Brendanus Sheridan got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciarán Perth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Beollan McSteven. That made the score 2-1 in the 75 minute of play. Ciarán Perths short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Beollan McSteven to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brendanus Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. Brendanus Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brefni Doyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beltany Mullan in the 88th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Rathglass's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McLaughlin came free, but Beollan McSteven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rathglass had won after a very even match.
