Thanks to some nice moves Keelin Morrison could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Balor Hamilton however easily saved by the left post. Balor Hamilton made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Bell McBrand sent off a good shot on target. If Keelin Morrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Raymun Murphy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ovens Utd the free kick. Raymun Murphy hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Balor Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarlath Crowe in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Artt Scully fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Ovens Utd's Jarlath Crowe, in the 24th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ovens Utd. 28 minutes into the game, Bell McBrand lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Balor Hamilton. When Jarlath Crowe came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ovens Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarlath Crowe couldn't finish the play. In the 35th match minute, Trough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenden Todd to maneuver through the defense. Balor Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarlath Crowe in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Trough's goal looked a bit too open when Jarlath Crowe came free, but Balor Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Trough's goal looked a bit too open when Artt Scully came free, but Balor Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balor Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarlath Crowe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Jarlath Crowe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Jarlath Crowe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Balor Hamilton. Jarlath Crowe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarlath Crowe to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jarlath Crowe came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ovens Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarlath Crowe couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Ovens Utd's Jarlath Crowe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Balor Hamilton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Artt Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balor Hamilton came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Ovens Utd's Blayne Cooney. But to his dismay, Blayne Cooney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, Ovens Utd's Jarlath Crowe got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Ovens Utd getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Artt Scully hit a great ball. Bell McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Bell McBrand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ovens Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 88th minute, Bell McBrand made a precise shot to the right of Balor Hamilton. Trough's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Balor Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bell McBrand in the 92nd minute of play. Bragan Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When Blayne Cooney came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Ovens Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blayne Cooney couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ovens Utd fully deserved thier win.
