Baran McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baran McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taveon McTom having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Coolnageragh's Taveon McTom threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donncha Quinnless, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If George Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rollan Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rollan Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birr McJohnny having to interfere. George Doherty struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Birr McJohnny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puffy the Dog. With 27 minutes on the clock, Beiti McDecland commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Coolnageragh! Birr McJohnny had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Barney MaCollin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Irwin McBrandon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Birr McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George Doherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rollan Molloy was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Baran McPhil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Banon Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Taveon McTom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Irwin McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puffy the Dog's protests and gave Irwin McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Puffy the Dog's Irwin McBrandon got a free kick in the 68th minute. Donn McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Coolnageragh's Donn McWill got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Baran McPhil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taveon McTom. Puffy the Dog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baran McPhil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Coolnageragh's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
