Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tathan Johnson kicked off to start the match. Derrick McGlenn came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballyvaghan's Tathan Johnson. But to his dismay, Tathan Johnson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Boyce MaCollin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When John Byrne fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyvaghan's protests and gave John Byrne a yellow card for diving instead. John Byrne hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Beagan Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derrick McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beagan Walker was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Boyce MaCollin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Beagan Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyce MaCollin in the 39th minute of play forced Ballyvaghan's goalkeeper Royan Deans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Beagan Walker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
Royan Deans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beagan Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Beagan Walker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Royan Deans was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, Rockland's Beagan Walker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Royan Deans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Ballyvaghan got a freekick which was hit by John Byrne. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bealtaine MaCollin during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bealtaine MaCollin kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Tathan Johnson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 played minutes, Rockland's Gill Ferguson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Royan Deans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rockland reached it. The audience was convinced that Beagan Walker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Royan Deans was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Tomás Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carrig Molloy charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carrig Molloy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ballyvaghan booed when Rockland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carrig Molloy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick McGlenn having to interfere. Royan Deans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beagan Walker's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Carrig Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ballyvaghan's Tomás Sheridan got a free kick in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ballyvaghan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
