After 2 played minutes Ventry got a freekick which was hit by Ross Crowe. Timothy Taylor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baird Taylor went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Fergal Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ventry's Timothy Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torna Keegan in the 34th minute of play. Benjamin McPaul who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Nollaig Taylor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nollaig Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bearach Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Timothy Taylor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baird Taylor in the 41st minute of the match. Dunbrin's Brion McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baird Taylor in the 45th minute of play forced Ventry's goalkeeper Timothy Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ventry's Benjamin McPaul got a free kick in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ventry's goal looked a bit too open when Baird Taylor came free, but Timothy Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin McPaul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Timothy Taylor made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Torna Keegan sent off a good shot on target. In the 60thth minute of the game Baird Taylor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ventry's Timothy Taylor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nollaig Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pauric Murphy in the 64th minute of play.
