The supporters of Kilnaborris booed when Kells Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berkeley Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seán McAlphie's late challenge caught a Kells Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Seán McAlphie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Seán McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denny McCready blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Becc Dempsey having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baine Silke during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kells Utd booed when Kilnaborris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baine Silke didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Desmond Tracy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Becc Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Denny McCready struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Becc Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kells Utd. Becc Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Kells Utd getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Artur Gollogley hit a great ball. The supporters of Kilnaborris booed when Kells Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brigid McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Denny McCready cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Becc Dempsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute, Seán McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, Berrach Taylor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilnaborris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kells Utd the free kick. Berrach Taylor hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A hard shot 43 in the game by Seán McAlphie from a close distance when the talented Brann Benson managed to make a qualified save. Kells Utd's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Byrne in the 44th minute of play forced Kells Utd's goalkeeper Brann Benson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Seán McAlphie came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Kilnaborris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seán McAlphie couldn't finish the play. In the 48thth minute of the game Desmond Tracy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kilnaborris's Becc Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Kells Utd's Brann Benson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seán McAlphie in the 52nd minute of play. Denny McCready in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Becc Dempsey, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 60th minute, Kilnaborris's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Denny McCready fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Becc Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desmond Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Becc Dempsey made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Denny McCready sent off a good shot on target. Denny McCready struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Becc Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kells Utd. Desmond Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desmond Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Becc Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seán McAlphie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Lloyd Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute of the match, Desmond Tracy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Becc Dempsey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 88th match minute, Kilnaborris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breenan McTom to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Kells Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Seán McAlphie came free, but Brann Benson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Kilnaborris fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kells Utd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
