Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thom McDonald got the match started through his kick off. Séamus McDecland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Gallagher in the 4th minute of the match. Beary Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Louie Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoin McLaughlin in the 10th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Bryan Gallagher notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cornageeha's Séamus McDecland. Séamus McDecland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Thom McDonald's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Louie Savic was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Leixlip United F.C.'s Cleary Gough got a free kick in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thom McDonald in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Louie Savic saved Leixlip United F.C. from getting behind. Leixlip United F.C.'s Louie Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thom McDonald in the 37th minute of play. Brayden Glen Crowe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Savic having to make a save. Thom McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bryan Gallagher was the one to do the kick off. If Beary Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy Matthews's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Séamus McDecland firmly grabbed it by the left post. Louie Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thom McDonald in the 62nd minute of play. If Bow McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Cornageeha's Thom McDonald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Louie Savic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Beary Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Louie Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Thom McDonald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Louie Savic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 80 minutes, Eoin McLaughlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornageeha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eoin McLaughlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 played minutes Cornageeha got a freekick which was hit by Eoin McLaughlin. After a defensive mix-up in Leixlip United F.C.'s zone, Eoin McLaughlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Savic came out of the goal and Eoin McLaughlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cornageeha had played much better football throughout.
