In the 20thth minute of the game Beary Myler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killycross's Baptist Lester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Roland Gollogley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornageeha's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Gollogley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baptist Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Brayden Glen Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bret McTommy came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Séamus McDecland could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thom McDonald in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baptist Lester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, Cornageeha's Thom McDonald broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland Gollogley in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Killycross's Dillon Tierney suffered a fractured collar bone after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Artt Hutton charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artt Hutton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cornageeha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Gollogley in the 40th minute of play forced Killycross's goalkeeper Baptist Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Thom McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baptist Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Killycross's Bartley Lester got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baptist Lester showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brayden Glen Crowe's late challenge caught a Killycross's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Séamus McDecland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Baptist Lester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roland Gollogley went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Baptist Lester was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beary Myler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 66 minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Thom McDonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornageeha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thom McDonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartley Lester hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play, Cornageeha's Thom McDonald made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baptist Lester was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Cornageeha's Roland Gollogley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baptist Lester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cornageeha's Séamus McDecland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bret McTommy in the 78th minute of play. If Eoin McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Mullan hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cornageeha's Eoin McLaughlin got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beary Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Beary Myler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cornageeha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bret McTommy in the 93rd minute of play forced Cornageeha's goalkeeper Séamus McDecland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cornageeha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cornageeha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
