Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brayden McWillie made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Cloonusker's goal looked a bit too open when Beccan Taylor came free, but Nolyn McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tirloch McBjarton fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloonusker's protests and gave Tirloch McBjarton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Tirloch McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cloonusker's Nolyn McJohnny got control of the ball when Gordan Tracy tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Keely Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonusker's supporters rose to their feet, but Keely Keegan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darragh Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darragh Lavine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brayden McWillie's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute of the match Cloonusker got a corner. Ardeevin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Beiti Mullan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Cloonusker's Beiti Mullan to fire away a dangerous shot which Darragh Lavine despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Ardeevin's goal looked a bit too open when Keely Keegan came free, but Darragh Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bradaigh Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nolyn McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nolyn McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradaigh Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ardeevin's goalkeeper Darragh Lavine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Beccan Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nolyn McJohnny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradaigh Scully in the 34th minute of the match. Nolyn McJohnny was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bradaigh Scully showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. Bradaigh Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nolyn McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brayden McWillie in the 44th minute of play forced Ardeevin's goalkeeper Darragh Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Brayden McWillie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darragh Lavine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Brayden McWillie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonusker's supporters rose to their feet, but Brayden McWillie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darragh Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Ardeevin's Breck Colwell got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beccan Taylor hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Tirloch McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gordan Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nolyn McJohnny having to interfere. Nolyn McJohnny came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Ardeevin's Bradaigh Scully. But to his dismay, Bradaigh Scully quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 71st match minute, Ardeevin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harkin Scully to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brayden McWillie in the 73rd minute of play forced Ardeevin's goalkeeper Darragh Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Bradaigh Scully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ardeevin's Darragh Lavine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Ardeevin from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ardeevin getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Beccan Taylor hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Keely Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloonusker's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keely Keegan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brayden McWillie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cloonusker players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ardeevin.
