Ardán MaCollin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gordan Tracy in the 3rd minute. Gordan Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darragh Lavine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rordan Scully in the 8th minute of the match. Bearach Cassin charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bearach Cassin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bearach Cassin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Ardán MaCollin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gordan Tracy in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Barhan Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darragh Lavine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bearach Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ardeevin's goalkeeper Darragh Lavine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ardeevin's Darragh Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barhan Horgan in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Bradaigh Scully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Barhan Horgan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finuge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barhan Horgan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ardeevin's Darragh Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barhan Horgan in the 30th minute of play. When Finuge's Barhan Horgan, in the 35th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Finuge. Rordan Scully's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darragh Lavine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Beccan Taylor charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 47th minute, Rordan Scully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Finuge were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Daniel Lavine hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Gordan Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ardeevin booed when Finuge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bearach Cassin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darragh Lavine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rordan Scully in the 63rd minute of the match. Beccan Taylor hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Barhan Horgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradaigh Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barhan Horgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Darragh Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barhan Horgans short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Darragh Lavine to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Gordan Tracy came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ardeevin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gordan Tracy couldn't finish the play. Finuge's Ardán MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradaigh Scully in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Finuge's zone, Gordan Tracy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ardán MaCollin came out of the goal and Gordan Tracy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Finuge's goal looked a bit too open when Gordan Tracy came free, but Ardán MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Ryan McJames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Finuge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ardeevin the free kick. The Ardeevin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Finuge's performance. The match ended with a win for Finuge.
