After 6 minutes, Beacan Gough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faughary AFC and the Mullan AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Beacan Gough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute of the game, Tevis Branson landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 7 minutes, Timothy Gillmour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faughary AFC and the Mullan AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egan McStephen in the 18th minute of play forced Mullan AFC's goalkeeper Torrans Matthews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mullan AFC booed when Faughary AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Treno McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breccan McTom in the 24th minute of play forced Mullan AFC's goalkeeper Torrans Matthews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Egan McStephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faughary AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Egan McStephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torrans Matthews breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beacan Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Torrans Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torrans Matthews took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breccan McTom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breccan McTom to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilian Grant hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mullan AFC's zone, Egan McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torrans Matthews came out of the goal and Egan McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shamus McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egan McStephen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Torrans Matthews made a huge save. Egan McStephen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Torrans Matthews when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Mullan AFC's Torrans Matthews got control of the ball when Egan McStephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Faughary AFC's Arnold Deery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shamus McJames in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Mullan AFC booed when Faughary AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beacan Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beacan Gough hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Egan McStephen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torrans Matthews read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Breccan McTom succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Faughary AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
