Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tallanstown's Rollan Myler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Lackan's Pembroke Hamilton got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 9th match minute, Lackan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derry John to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Lou Todd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradain McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donan Martyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Bradain McAlphie made a huge save. The supporters of Tallanstown booed when Lackan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pembroke Hamilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Briain McCollion hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jarlath Johnson struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Brenan Dunne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lackan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comhghall Bayes got free with Bradain McAlphie in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Comhghall Bayes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradain McAlphie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Devlin MaCollin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derry John during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Briain McCollion hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bradain McAlphie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rollan Myler in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Lackan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devlin MaCollin to maneuver through the defense. Brenan Dunne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Devlin MaCollin in the 62nd minute. 2-0 became the score in the 64th minute when Rollan Myler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lou Todd scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bradain McAlphie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bradain McAlphie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur McJon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Donan Martyn fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tallanstown's protests and gave Donan Martyn a yellow card for diving instead. Donan Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Devlin MaCollin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brenan Dunne came out and tried to block the shot, but Devlin MaCollin slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 82nd minute. Jarlath Johnson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Brenan Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pembroke Hamilton hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rollan Myler took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bradain McAlphie. Bradain McAlphie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There was no doubt that Tallanstown were the better team. Tallanstown's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
