Nechifor Coporan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Bar Gough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drishane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Donal Tierney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bar Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bar Gough in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donal Tierney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donal Tierney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bar Gough in the 23rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Bar Gough sped through Coorlaghan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donal Tierney. In the 27th minute, Ali Cengiz Hızlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Finbar Ryans short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Bradaigh McBrandon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 37th minute, Coorlaghan's Donn Murphy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bradaigh McBrandon. Bradaigh McBrandon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. With 44 minutes on the clock, Alex Beckett commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Coorlaghan's Bradon Cooney got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bradaigh McBrandon. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breadan Duggan to make the kick off. Nechifor Coporan came free in the 60th minute and tried to tip the ball over Donal Tierney, but to the joy of Coorlaghan's supporters the ball went over. Bradaigh McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braddon Matthews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drishane's attentive Berkley Keegan managed to snatch the ball when Pembroke Mullan made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Drishane's Nechifor Coporan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pembroke Mullan, made in the 79th minute of the game. Drishane's Bradaigh McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finbar Ryan in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berkley Keegan during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A sloppy throw-in by Pembroke Mullan in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Drishane's Berkley Keegan. Coorlaghan succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Drishane had controlled the match.
