Porridgetown's Aaden Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Silke in the 15th minute of play. Leonard Silke kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justin Cassin during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berchan Dalton in the 28th minute of play forced Porridgetown's goalkeeper Aaden Ryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Bresal Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 61 minutes, Phelim Deery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Upperchurch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phelim Deery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bresal Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Porridgetown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bresal Keegan couldn't finish the play. Porridgetown's Aaden Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Porridgetown from getting a goal against them. Barclay Holt's late challenge caught a Upperchurch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barclay Holt helped the player get up and apologised. 75 minutes into the match, Porridgetown's goalkeeper Aaden Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berchan Dalton. In the 78th minute, Garrett McFrank made a precise shot to the right of Aaden Ryan. Porridgetown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Aaden Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berchan Dalton in the 81st minute. When Bresal Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Porridgetown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bresal Keegan couldn't finish the play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Phelim Deery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Upperchurch's zone, Bresal Keegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bressail McFrank came out of the goal and Bresal Keegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donan Hamilton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Porridgetown! The goalkeeper, Aaden Ryan, was totally fooled by Upperchurch's Tipraite Delaney, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Phelim Deery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaden Ryan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over Upperchurch could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porridgetown throughout the match.
