Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Douglas Walker started the match with the kick off. 0-1 became the score in the 6th minute when Bree McWill elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bree McWill hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Gordon McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Drummeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philib Caffey to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Bree McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kerrigan Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Drummeen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Scartaglin were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gordon McBjarton to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Louie McGlenn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drummeen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scartaglin the free kick. A collision led to Drummeen getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Louie McGlenn hit a great ball. Kerrigan Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balor Gollogley in the 59th minute of play. Philib Caffey hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordon McBjarton in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reilly McLiam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Scartaglin's Douglas Walker got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Scartaglin booed when Drummeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breaghdha McTommy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes Drummeen got a freekick which was hit by Gordon McBjarton. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bree McWill got free with Kerrigan Ghee in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 92 minutes, Ravan McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drummeen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ravan McFrancise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balor Gollogley hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Drummeen got a freekick which was hit by Philib Caffey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Walker in the 97th minute of play forced Drummeen's goalkeeper Kerrigan Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scartaglin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
