Gehan McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordon McBjarton in the 4th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Kerrigan Ghee successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Drummeen's Kerrigan Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boethis Keegan in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Drummeen got a freekick which was hit by Philib Caffey. If Tevis McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Samuel Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th match minute, Drummeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philib Caffey to maneuver through the defense. Kerrigan Ghee was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Tevis McCready capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tevis McCready really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 34th match minute, Glengesh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ailín Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. Gordon McBjarton might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gehan McNamara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gordon McBjarton ran back to his position shaking his head. After 38 played minutes Drummeen got a freekick which was hit by Louie McGlenn. Bellaghy Morrison hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Drummeen's Kerrigan Ghee got control of the ball when Tevis McCready tried to sneak it across the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Tevis McCready notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Drummeen's Kerrigan Ghee. Kerrigan Ghee was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gordon McBjarton to strike the kick off in the second half. If Darby Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Samuel Savic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glengesh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Brenainn Delaney kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Glengesh's goalkeeper Gehan McNamara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Glengesh were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Drummeen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alex Tracy took the corner. The corner led Glengesh's Alex Tracy to fire away a dangerous shot which Kerrigan Ghee despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Drummeen's goal looked a bit too open when Tevis McCready came free, but Kerrigan Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boethis Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Kerrigan Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kerrigan Ghee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boethis Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The supporters of Drummeen booed when Glengesh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ailín Ramsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes Glengesh got a freekick which was hit by Ailín Ramsey. Gordon McBjarton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gehan McNamara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Glengesh fully deserved thier win.
