Pat Willson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Loughshinny AFC's zone, Louie Savic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Colwell came out of the goal and Louie Savic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aodh Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Louie Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louie Savic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Louie Savic sped through Loughshinny AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leon Colwell. In the 45th minute Louie Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shey McMichel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Leon Colwell managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Desert Roses™'s Louie Savic fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 54 in the game by Louie Savic from a close distance when the talented Leon Colwell managed to make a qualified save. Loughshinny AFC's players were relieved. In the 57thth minute of the game Louie Savic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loughshinny AFC's Leon Colwell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Breadan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bairre McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bairre McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shey McMichel in the 61st minute of the match. Ladislav Janečka hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Bernard McDonald shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bairre McNamara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Loughshinny AFC booed when Desert Roses™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesc Fabregas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Loughshinny AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Scot Gallagher hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Desert Roses™'s goal looked a bit too open when Shey McMichel came free, but Bairre McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Leon Colwell managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Desert Roses™'s Louie Savic fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shey McMichel in the 80th minute of play forced Desert Roses™'s goalkeeper Bairre McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Loughshinny AFC's goalkeeper Leon Colwell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
