Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ballybane's Bevan Kirby started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bevan Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adamnan Dimson in the 12th minute of play forced Ballybane's goalkeeper Bearnard Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barra McGlynn's late challenge caught a Caherpeak AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barra McGlynn helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Ballybane got a freekick which was hit by Barra McGlynn. In the 15thth minute of the game Adamnan Dimson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballybane's Bearnard Holt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bearnard Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colmcille Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bevan Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adamnan Dimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bearnard Holt having to interfere. Braddon Kelly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bevan Kirby's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Scot Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bearnard Holt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bevan Kirby in the 37th minute of play forced Caherpeak AFC's goalkeeper Braddon Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ballybane's Bearnard Holt got control of the ball when Scot Morrison tried to sneak it across the goal line. Scot Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Bearnard Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ballybane's Bearnard Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scot Morrison in the 55th minute of play. Scot Morrison took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bearnard Holt. Bearnard Holt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 66 minutes into the game, Adamnan Dimson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bearnard Holt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scot Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bevan Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Caherpeak AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Colmcille Dimson hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the game, Teris Hutton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caherpeak AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballybane the free kick. After a rather tough play, Caherpeak AFC's Teris Hutton got a free kick in the 74th minute. Braddon Kelly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bevan Kirby in the 75th minute. The supporters of Caherpeak AFC booed when Ballybane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bren Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Caherpeak AFC's Fiachra Scully broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 84th minute, Bevan Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Adamnan Dimson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bearnard Holt was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. During the 86th minute of the match Barra McGlynn completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Barra McGlynn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Ballybane getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Barra McGlynn hit a great ball. Colmcille Dimson's late challenge caught a Ballybane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After 88 played minutes Caherpeak AFC got a freekick which was hit by Colmcille Dimson. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Caherpeak AFC had won after a very even match.
