Reginald Beckett hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The long shot by Breck McTommy in the 13th minute really tested Breas Robinson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience was convinced that Rigan McPhil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bedilia Robinson was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Brine Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Castlebridge booed when Killeany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breck McTommy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigan McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedilia Robinson having to interfere. Richard Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedilia Robinson having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Castlebridge's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Breadan Gillmour fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Brine Costello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Breas Robinson, 2-0. If Rigan McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedilia Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigan McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Castlebridge's Breas Robinson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Castlebridge from getting a goal against them. Richard Gillmour scored 2-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bedilia Robinson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Gillmour made a kick off. When Rigan McPhil came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Castlebridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigan McPhil couldn't finish the play. Breas Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brine Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breadan Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Brine Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Boyle Dimson fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killeany's protests and gave Boyle Dimson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Killeany getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Boyle Dimson hit a great ball. Breas Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breadan Gillmour in the 69th minute of play. Richard Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bedilia Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Brine Costello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breas Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Castlebridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Gollogley to maneuver through the defense. Brine Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Brine Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killeany's supporters rose to their feet, but Brine Costello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breas Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Gillmour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bedilia Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Bedilia Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Gillmour in the 96th minute of play. Killeany were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Castlebridge for a fine match.
