Glen McWilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdia Savic having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Glen McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloon's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen McWilliam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdia Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Donegal Beckett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Dublin BG Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Donegal Beckett came free, but Ferdia Savic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Breffni McBrand fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dublin BG Tigers's protests and gave Breffni McBrand a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dublin BG Tigers getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Breffni McBrand hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Cloon's Donegal Beckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdia Savic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Donegal Beckett dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ferdia Savic, 1-0. In the 42nd minute Rowan Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bannon Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Ferdia Savic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloon. Cloon's Donegal Beckett got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glen McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
