Frankford's Berach McGlynn got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleary Grant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradagain Costello in the 7th minute of play. Gearoid McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleary Grant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradagain Costello in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Lissivigeen's Tipraite McBrand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cianán Jameson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Lissivigeen's goal looked a bit too open when Eoghan McJames came free, but Cleary Grant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Lissivigeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peadar McWill to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eoghan McJames in the 24th minute of play forced Lissivigeen's goalkeeper Cleary Grant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Tipraite McBrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lissivigeen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frankford the free kick. The supporters of Frankford booed when Lissivigeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tipraite McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiomoid McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, Frankford's Eoghan McJames made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cleary Grant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cleary Grant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiomoid McTommy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lissivigeen's Peadar McWill got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Gearoid McGlenn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gearoid McGlenn in the 47th minute of play forced Frankford's goalkeeper Cianán Jameson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Frankford were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gearoid McGlenn made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Tiomoid McTommy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frankford and the Lissivigeen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiomoid McTommy hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Brannagh Beckett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cianán Jameson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tipraite McBrand in the 56th minute of the match. Tipraite McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lissivigeen booed when Frankford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolan Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brannagh Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cianán Jameson having to interfere. Tipraite McBrand scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cianán Jameson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tipraite McBrand took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cianán Jameson. Cianán Jameson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 72 minutes into the match, Lissivigeen's Gearoid McGlenn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cianán Jameson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lissivigeen's Cleary Grant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Lissivigeen from getting a goal against them. Cianán Jameson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tipraite McBrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Lissivigeen's Theodore Brennan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cianán Jameson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Lissivigeen's goalkeeper Cleary Grant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiomoid McTommy. Tipraite McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cianán Jameson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Rolan Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleary Grant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Frankford could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lissivigeen throughout the match.
