Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Blaire Keegan kicked off to start the match. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pinapple Express! 14 minutes into the match, Kilcotton's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Lavine came free, but Bran Hutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bran Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dermot Holt in the 17th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Kilcotton got a freekick which was hit by Bannon McMichel. Blair Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Antaine McDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Lavine scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bran Hutton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Pinapple Express's goalkeeper Antaine McDonald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barney Lavine. Bran Hutton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermot Holt, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Justin Martyn hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Barney Lavine made the kick off in the second half. Antaine McDonald came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kilcotton's Barney Lavine. But to his dismay, Barney Lavine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Biddy Tierney charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Biddy Tierney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barney Lavine in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antaine McDonald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 minutes, Barney Lavine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilcotton and the Pinapple Express players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barney Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Barney Lavine struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Antaine McDonald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilcotton. With a little luck, Kilcotton's Bran Hutton got control of the ball when Dermot Holt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Barney Lavine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dermot Holt struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Bran Hutton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinapple Express. With a little luck, Kilcotton's Bran Hutton got control of the ball when Pearce Tierney tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barney Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Antaine McDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biddy Tierney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bran Hutton. Kilcotton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dermot Holt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Bran Hutton made a huge save. Bannon McMichel's late challenge caught a Pinapple Express's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bannon McMichel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kilcotton getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Bannon McMichel hit a great ball. Kilcotton's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
