Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Killanummery's Benen McPhilip started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Shanaglish Utd getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Bradain Cooney hit a great ball. After 6 minutes, Brant McCollion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shanaglish Utd and the Killanummery players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Brant McCollion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleary Cooney was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Scot Keegan's late challenge caught a Killanummery's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Scot Keegan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Shanaglish Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scot Keegan to maneuver through the defense. Killanummery's Benen McPhilip got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benen McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Renny McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Darren McVictor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shanaglish Utd's Renny McPeter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Timmons Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killanummery's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmons Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renny McPeter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berrach McAlphie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Darren McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Killanummery booed when Shanaglish Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brant McCollion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benen McPhilip struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Renny McPeter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killanummery. In the 32nd minute, Darren McVictor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sameer Doyle was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Keely Cassin. Benen McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Renny McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren McVictor in the 44th minute of play forced Shanaglish Utd's goalkeeper Renny McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Darren McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berrach McAlphie to make the kick off. Darren McVictor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Killanummery's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benen McPhilip might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renny McPeter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benen McPhilip ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benen McPhilip in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renny McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Shanaglish Utd getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. After having played for 65 minutes, Benen McPhilip managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killanummery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benen McPhilip was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renny McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmons Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Darren McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren McVictor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renny McPeter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Shanaglish Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keely Cassin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Shanaglish Utd booed when Killanummery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torran McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darren McVictor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Renny McPeter firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 83rdth minute of the game Benen McPhilip who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shanaglish Utd's Renny McPeter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Darren McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shanaglish Utd's Renny McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benen McPhilip in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benen McPhilip in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renny McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Berrach McAlphie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shanaglish Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Berrach McAlphie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sameer Doyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Blamhac Gough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shanaglish Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Many of Killanummery's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Killanummery may have spent more time on the ball, but Shanaglish Utd were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
