Boethis McGlenn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Britt Beckett in the 14th minute. Barroosky's Cacey Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trien McMichel in the 21st minute of play. When Troy McOliver fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Callan's protests and gave Troy McOliver a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Callan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy McOliver to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, Barroosky's Britt Beckett made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boethis McGlenn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bressail McJohnny hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Raymun Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Callan's Boethis McGlenn got control of the ball when Britt Beckett tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Barroosky's Brett Hunt got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute, Bressail McJohnny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Raymun Taylor in the 56th minute really tested Cacey Callaghan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Callan's zone, Aaron Frankson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boethis McGlenn came out of the goal and Aaron Frankson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trien McMichel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Cacey Callaghan made a huge save. Thurl McCready's late challenge caught a Callan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thurl McCready helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Callan booed when Barroosky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thurl McCready didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barroosky fans cheered their team off the field, for while Callan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
