Becan McOliver started the match with the kick off. Becan McOliver might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brett Ghee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Becan McOliver ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 played minutes Culleenduff AFC got a freekick which was hit by Terence Brennan. Brett Ghee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Becan McOliver in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Don McPaul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walshtown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Biviti Frankson in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ardán McPhil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Braden McCollion kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ardán McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devlin Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Beccan Cassin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ardán McPhil. Culleenduff AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beccan Cassin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, Don McPaul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ardán McPhil. Ardán McPhil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biviti Frankson in the 46th minute of the match. The Culleenduff AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Walshtown were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beag Holt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Don McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardán McPhil having to interfere. If Rorke McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beag Holt in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ardán McPhil saved Culleenduff AFC from getting behind. Culleenduff AFC's Ardán McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beag Holt in the 58th minute of play. Ardán McPhil made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Biviti Frankson sent off a good shot on target. After 70 minutes, Colm Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Culleenduff AFC and the Walshtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Culleenduff AFC got a freekick which was hit by Colm Cassin. When Rorke McBjarton fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Culleenduff AFC's protests and gave Rorke McBjarton a yellow card for diving instead. Rorke McBjarton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Brett Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ardán McPhil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beccan Cassin in the 86th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Walshtown got a freekick which was hit by Beale McJon. Ardán McPhil made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Biviti Frankson sent off a good shot on target. The Culleenduff AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Walshtown were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
