Baltovin's Banon Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abbot Myler in the 55th minute of play. Blaire Byrne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shea Hunt in the 56th minute. In the 63rd minute, Tormaigh McCready hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blaire Byrne was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beccan Cooney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. Baine Horgan might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blaire Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baine Horgan ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baine Horgan in the 70th minute of play forced Tralee's goalkeeper Blaire Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Baltovin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brede McCready to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Teddy Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
