Ardán Ghee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Boyd Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pat Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearce Deery, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Clongeen's Pat Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pearce Deery in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Clongeen's Pat Rutherford got control of the ball when Philib Moran tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Clongeen booed when FC Suiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Colwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Clongeen's Conn Glen Crowe in action when he in the 26th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Brine McCready might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ardán Ghee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brine McCready ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Baodan Horgan sped through FC Suiti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ardán Ghee. If Brine McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philib Moran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Pat Rutherford made a huge save. Philib Moran charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philib Moran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Philib Moran hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Brine McCready recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baodan Horgan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Clongeen's Baodan Horgan in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Suiti's goalie prevented a goal. Boyd Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brine McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ardán Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philib Moran hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Clongeen's Brine McCready got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Barran Barrett fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Suiti's protests and gave Barran Barrett a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Clongeen booed when FC Suiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barran Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pat Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barran Barrett in the 90th minute of play. Pat Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barran Barrett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
