Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Reidy McPeter got the match started through his kick off. Rinneen FC's Reidy McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Bracken Mulvihill made a precise shot to the right of Brigid McCollion. Rinneen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Brigid McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bracken Mulvihill in the 16th minute of the match. If Bracken Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Donagh Callaghan fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rinneen FC's protests and gave Donagh Callaghan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kilkea Utd booed when Rinneen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donagh Callaghan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gearalt McAlphie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearse McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Brigid McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bracken Mulvihill in the 34th minute of the match. Kevis Mullan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After the first half Kilkea Utd were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bracken Mulvihill made a kick off. In the 55th minute Bracken Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid McCollion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reidy McPeter scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gearalt McAlphie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 67 minutes, Bracken Mulvihill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilkea Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bracken Mulvihill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rinneen FC's zone, Bracken Mulvihill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brigid McCollion came out of the goal and Bracken Mulvihill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Binnech Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Brigid McCollion made a huge save. Binnech Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bracken Mulvihill in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brigid McCollion saved Rinneen FC from getting behind. Kilkea Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevis Mullan in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Bracken Mulvihill dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brigid McCollion, 1-3. In the 80th minute, Rinneen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bracken Mulvihill fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Binnech Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reidy McPeter might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gearalt McAlphie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reidy McPeter ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th match minute, Kilkea Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binnech Keegan to maneuver through the defense. Rinneen FC's Brigid McCollion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bracken Mulvihill in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kilkea Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
